MOSCOW, September 26. /TASS/. Emergency humanitarian assistance to Syria’s Aleppo was in focus of a meeting between Russian president’s special envoy for the Middle East and African countries and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Jaberi Ansari, the Russian foreign ministry said on Monday.
"The sides discussed the military political situation in Syria with a focus on the necessity to deliver emergency humanitarian assistance to the Syrian population, especially around Aleppo," the ministry said.
"The sides reiterated Moscow’s and Teheran’s readiness to cooperate closely with the Syrian government, the Syrian Arab Red Crescent and relevant United Nations structures on that track," the ministry said.
The conversation was initiated by the Iranian side.
