NOVO-OGARYOVO, September 21. /TASS/. Vladimir Putin and German Vice-Chancellor Sigmar Gabriel are meeting in the Russian President's countryside residence at Novo-Ogaryovo near Moscow.
Their discussion will most likely touch upon Monday's attack on a UN humanitarian convoy in Syria and the ways of settling the armed civil conflict in Ukraine.
Sigmar Gabriel said during the meeting his destiny was such that he always visited Russian in times of complications. He indicated that knotty problems were spinning around Syria and Ukraine now and he would be grateful to Putin for an opportunity to discuss the two situations and especially the latest incidents, including the attack on a UN humanitarian convoy in Syria, which complicated the situation in the region further.
He said he would appreciate discussion of these outstanding issues.
"Without any doubt," Putin said on his part.
