UNITED NATIONS, September 20. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has opted not to waste time in a traffic jam and headed for the United Nations headquarters on foot after a meeting of the International Syria Support Group, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova wrote on her Facebook account on Tuesday.
"Traffic in Manhattan is stopped for Obama. Lavrov decided not to wait and walk to the UN on foot."

Earlier on Tuesday, the Russian top diplomat took part in a meeting of the International Syria Support Group at Lotte New York Palace located 15-minute walk from the United Nations headquarters.
Earlier, Russian journalists saw Austrian Foreign Minister Sebastian Kurz also walking to the UN headquarters.
