Putin discussed humanitarian situation in Syria with Security Council members

ST. PETERSBURG, August 1. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin held an action meeting with standing members of the Security Council on Sunday evening, press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

"Current international affairs were discussed at the meeting. In particular, meeting participants reviewed humanitarian issues in Syria. Furthermore, current domestic agenda was discussed, including the exchange of opinions on the tourist infrastructure development, considering growing demand for tourism inside Russia," Peskov said.

The President also chaired the meeting on naval shipbuilding held in St. Petersburg on Sunday evening, he added.
