Russian, Georgian diplomats may meet in mid-October

The meeting will be held traditionally in Prague

MOSCOW, July 29. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin said on Friday his next meeting with Georgian prime minister’s special envoy for relations with Russia Zurab Abashidze in mid-October.

"I think the next round will be held in mid-October," he said.

The meeting will obviously be held traditionally in Prague.

On July 27, Karasin and Abashidze had a telephone conversation. According to the Russian foreign ministry, the sides discussed issues linked with the normalization in the bilateral relations and their further development.

On December 14, 2012, Abashidze’s first meeting with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Grigory Karasin took place in a Geneva suburb. It resumed direct dialogue between the two countries officials suspended after the 2008 developments. Further meetings were held in Prague.
