Putin extends terms of deputy foreign ministers Gatilov and Karasin for one year

Gatilov supervises Russia’s participation in UN and other international organizations, Karasin supervises issues of bilateral relations with countries of the CIS

MOSCOW, July 28. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended for one year the terms of Deputy Foreign Ministers Gennady Gatilov and Grigory Karasin, according to the document published on the official web portal of legislative acts on Thursday.

"To extend the term of federal public service for one year for Gatilov Gennady Mikhaylovich and Karasin Grigory Borisovich," the document said.

Gatilov supervises Russia’s participation in UN and other international organizations, as well as international economic, ecological and humanitarian cooperation; observance of human rights; cooperation on issues of climate, culture and sports. His diplomatic rank is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary.

Karasin supervises issues of bilateral relations with countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS); cooperation with both houses of the Russian Federal Assembly and public organizations, including on the Foreign Ministry’s lawmaking activity. His diplomatic rank is Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. Karasin is also an Honored Member of the Diplomatic Service of the Russian Federation.
