VIENTIANE, July 26. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry are meeting in Vientiane, capital of Laos, on the sidelines of an ASEAN ministerial conference.
Their meeting began with a handshake. An American reporter asked Lavrov how he could comment on the accusations suggesting that Russia had hacked the Democratic National Committee's email. "I wouldn't like to use tough words here," the Russian minister answered half-jokingly.
According to preliminary reports, the discussion between Lavrov and Kerry will touch upon the situation in Syria, the untangling of the Ukrainian crisis, and the problems of bilateral relations.
This is their second meeting over a period of ten days. The previous meeting took place on July 15-16 in Moscow.
