MOSCOW, July 25. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov and his Chinese counterpart Liu Zhenmin have discussed on the sidelines of the Russia-ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) ministerial meeting in Laos the bilateral cooperation in the region, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Monday.
"They discussed issues pertaining to cooperation between the two countries within the regional associations in the Asia-Pacific region," the ministry said.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will take part on Monday in the Russia-ASEAN ministerial meeting in Vientiane (Laos).
On July 26, a meeting of the East Asia Summit foreign ministers and another session of the regional ASEAN security forum will be held. Lavrov will hold a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of these events, including with US Secretary of State John Kerry.
