MOSCOW, July 25. /TASS/. Moscow counts on progress on the issue of the intra-Syrian negotiations at the talks on Syria in the Russia-US-UN format, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov who heads the Russian delegation at the talks told TASS on Monday.

"We have a constructive attitude for the work with our partners and hope that we’ll be able to advance as regards the intra-Syrian negotiations process," he said.

Gatilov added that Moscow counts on the same approach from the partners.

The diplomat confirmed the trilateral meeting will be held in Geneva on July 26 at the Palace of Nations.

"The meeting will be held tomorrow in the Palais (the Palace of Nations in Geneva)," he said.

The talks between representatives of Russia, the United States and the United Nations will begin on Tuesday. The Russian delegation will be represented by Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov, the United Nations will be represented by the UN Secretary General’s special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, and the United States will be represented by Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs Anne W. Patterson. The parties are expected to discuss in detail the promotion of the intra-Syrian negotiations. They may also focus on the elaboration of the agreements reached at the talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry.
