MOSCOW, July 15./TASS/. The US delegation has taken a time-out in talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, the Russian side does not give up hope of seeing the US colleagues today, a source from the Russian Foreign Ministry has told Tass.

"After eight-hour-long talks of the Russian foreign minister and the US secretary of state, the American delegation has taken a pause for consultations," he said. "The Russian delegation does not give up hope of seeing the American colleagues tonight once again," he added.

The talks started at 10 am, Moscow time, on Friday. About four hours later the sides continued the talks at lunch. Then Sergey Lavrov and John Kerry headed to the French Embassy to leave messages in a book of condolences in connection with a terrorist attack in the French city of Nice late on Thursday. A break in the talks was announced at about 6 pm, Moscow time.
