MOSCOW, July 14./TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has sent a telegram of congratulations to UK’s new Prime Minister Theresa May, marking close cooperation of Russia and Great Britain.
"Our countries closely cooperate on trade and economy, in the energy sector and high technologies, science and culture," said the telegram of congratulations posted on the website of the Russian Cabinet of Ministers.
"I am confident that a maximally broad advance of practical cooperation in different spheres meets long-term interests of Russia and Great Britain," he went on.
Theresa May took charge of a new government, replacing David Cameron who led the government for slightly more than six years and left office after the UK had voted to quit the European Union.
