Russia to open some 380 polling stations abroad for Duma elections

According to the Central Election Commission, some 1.9 million Russians currently live abroad

MOSCOW, July 14. /TASS/. About 380 polling stations will be opened abroad for Russian citizens to cast their ballots in the upcoming parliamentary elections, Vasily Likhachyov, a member of the Central Election Commission, said on Thursday.

He said that some 1.9 million Russians currently live abroad.

"As of July 10, 375 polling stations were established to provide their participation in the elections and this work will be accomplished in the near future," Likhachyov said.

Elections to the State Duma, the lower house of the Russian parliament, will be held on September 18.
