Kremlin says streets renaming cannot eradicate Russia, Ukraine kinship

The kremlin comments on the decision to rename Moscow Avenue in Kiev

MOSCOW, July 8. /TASS/. The historical kinship between Russians and Ukrainians cannot be eradicated by renaming streets in Kiev, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday.

Commenting on the decision to rename Moscow Avenue in Kiev into Stepan Bandera Avenue, Peskov said: "We can only express regret in this regard. Historical Russian-Ukrainian kinship is impossible to eradicate by such means. We can only express deep regret with such actions."

The Kremlin will not react to Kiev’s actions in any way, he added.
