MOSCOW, July 8. /TASS/. The shooting in Dallas should encourage US authorities to seriously deal with the problem of racism in the country, Russian Foreign Ministry’s Commissioner for Human Rights, Democracy and Supremacy of Law Konstantin Dolgov said on Friday.
"Tragic events in Dallas are a direct result of impunity of US police in multiple cases of killing unarmed black citizens," Dolgov wrote on his Twitter microblog.
"This new wave of violence should encourage US authorities at last to seriously deal with acutest racial problems, racism in America," he added.
He conveyed condolences to the families of killed policemen adding that he also condoles with the families of black persons killed by policemen "in strange circumstances, to put it mildly."
Gunmen killed five police officers during a protest in Dallas against police shootings of black men. Six more policemen were injured in the shooting.
