ARTEK (Yalta), July 7. /TASS/. Russia welcomes any contacts that allow representatives of Western society to get acquainted with the real situation in Crimea, official spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said on Thursday, commenting on Head of the Russian State Duma's Defense Committee, Admiral Vladimir Komoedov inviting President of the French National Front party Marine Le Pen to Sevastopol to celebrate the Navy Day.
"Our embassy passed the invitation to Marine Le Pen’s office. We know she received it, but it is too early to talk about her reaction," Zakharova said.
"We welcome any contacts which will help us show the Western public the real situation in the Republic of Crimea," she added.
