MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. Damascus is not experiencing problems with the formation of a delegation for participation in the inter-Syrian talks and is ready for their resumption, Special Envoy of the Russian president for the Middle East and Africa, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov told TASS on Monday.
"As far as I understand, the entire leadership in Damascus is ready for the resumption of inter-Syrian talks and they have no problems with forming the government’s delegation," the envoy said.
In response to a question about the timeframe of the talks resumption, the Russian envoy said Moscow insisted on their quickest restart but the exact dates had not yet been determined. "As we always say, the sooner, the better," he said.
The date of a new round of inter-Syrian talks in Geneva has not yet been set. The latest round came to an end on April 27. Moscow numerously spoke for the quickest resumption of this format. UN Special Envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura should announce about the continuation of the inter-Syrian talks.
