YEREVAN, July 4. /TASS/. Moscow calls on Helsinki not to yield to the temptation to join the anti-Russian campaign, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Monday when asked by TASS about Russia’s possible response measures in case Finland joins NATO.
"The matter is purely military, purely technical. Obviously, if infrastructure of an organization, which appoints you its enemy, approaches your borders, you will have to react somehow," Lavrov said. "We have enough of experience in this sphere. The defense ministry and the general staff are sure to know what to do."
"We believe that our relations with Finland are developing in an optimal way today and we hope our Finnish neighbors never yield to the temptation to join the anti-Russian actions," the Russian top diplomat stressed.
