Russia continues consultations on new head of OSCE Parliamentary Assembly

Voting will take place tomorrow in Tbilisi

MOSCOW, July 4. /TASS/. The Russian delegation in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA) continues consultation on a candidate for the organization’s presidency, the head of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs said on Monday.

"Voting will take place tomorrow in Tbilisi, and now we're holding consultations on it," Leonid Slutsky, a member of the Russian delegation in the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly, told a news conference

Three deputy speakers of the OSCE PA are running for the post: Gigi Tsereteli (Georgia), Alain Neri (France) and Christine Muttonen (Austria), Slutsky said.

The session of the Parliamentary Assembly is held in Tbilisi from July 1 to 5.
