MOSCOW, June 22. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday received former Spanish Prime Minister Jose Maria Asnar in the Kremlin.
Putin and Asnar are known to have long-standing friendly relations. Asnar is making a private visit to Moscow.
Jose Maria Asnar was Spain’s Prime Minister from 1996 through 2004. He made visits to Moscow in May 1999 and 2002.
After his resignation, he came to Russia on two occasions and had meetings with Putin.
