Elections to the 450-seat Russian State Duma will be held under a mixed system, 225 lawmakers will be elected in one-seat constituencies and another 225 will be elected by party tickets

MOSCOW, June 17. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree on holding elections to the State Duma, Russia’s lower house of parliament, on September 18, 2016, the Kremlin press service said on Friday.

"The decree enters into force since the day of its official publication," the document says.

The document will be published during five days after being signed by the president. The federal election campaign will begin in Russia since the decree’s official publication.
