MOSCOW, June 11. /TASS/. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin sent birthday greetings to Queen Elizabeth II, the Kremlin’s press service said on Saturday.
"The president highlighted the rich history of relations between the two countries and expressed confidence in further development of fruitful cooperation in various sectors for the benefit of the Russian and UK people, in the interests of improving the international security and stability," the press service said.
Queen Elizabeth II marked her birthday on April 21. However, official celebration is organized traditionally in June, that is in time, where the weather is positively better than in April. From 1974, the celebration date is scheduled for the Saturday between June 11 and 17.
