ASTANA, June 8 /TASS/. Russia is ready to share with Kazakhstan the experience of using Russian troops in Syria, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu said at a meeting with his Kazakhstani counterpart Imangali Tasmagambetov on Wednesday.
"We are ready to share our experience in operational planning and the use of Russian troops in Syria in the struggle against the ISIS terrorist group [the former name for the Islamic State - TASS] and Jebhat al-Nusra," Shoigu said in reply to Tasmagambetov’s request.
Russia started its military operation in Syria late in September 2015. The main part of the Russian air group was withdrawn from the Syrian territory in March.
