Russia, UAE committed to close cooperation on international problems

The Russian Foreign Ministry says Russia, the UAE exchanged opinions on issues of further development of the political dialogue, mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade-and-economic sphere

MOSCOW, June 3. /TASS/. Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have confirmed the importance of further foreign policy coordination on topical regional and international problems, the Russian foreign ministry said on Friday after a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and President of the UAE Federal National Council Amal Al Qubaisi.

"The sides exchanged opinions on issues of further development of the political dialogue, inter-parliamentary and humanitarian ties, mutually beneficial cooperation in the trade-and-economic sphere between the two friendly states," the ministry said.

The sides also confirmed their "commitment to further close foreign policy coordination on topical regional and international problems, on the settlement of the existing crises in the Middle East and Northern Africa by political and diplomatic means on the basis of a wide national dialogue and international law," the ministry said.
