MOSCOW, June 2. /TASS/. Russia and the Philippines have confirmed mutual commitment to further promote cooperation to ensure stability and security in the Asia-Pacific region, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on exchanging congratulatory messages between the two countries’ heads of state and foreign ministers on the 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of the Philippines.
"(The two sides) pointed to the progressive development of the Russian-Filipino political dialogue, ties in the trade, economic, humanitarian and other practical areas," the statement said. "(They) expressed mutual commitment to further promoting bilateral cooperation for the benefit of our countries’ peoples, in the interests of stability and security in the Asia-Pacific region.".
