MOSCOW, May 24. /TASS /. The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed on Tuesday the appointment of former chief of the Oboronstroi joint stock company, Timur Ivanov, to the post of deputy minister.
Ivanov has been added to the list of deputy defense ministers on the ministry’s website.
A source in the Defense Ministry told TASS earlier that the appointment took place on Monday.
Ivanov was appointed director general of Oboronstroy in 2013. In 2012, he served as deputy chairman of the Moscow region’s government. In 2009-2012, he led Russia’s energy agency at the Energy Ministry.
