MOSCOW, May 22 /TASS/. Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin has taken part in advance voting organized by the United Russia party to select candidates for the forthcoming State Duma elections. The mayor called the primaries a ‘big event’ and thanked all the Muscovites who came to cast their ballots in advance on Sunday.
"The advance voting designed to select candidates for the future parliamentary elections is a major event in the life of the United Russia party. It is important because the candidates themselves are getting to know their constituencies and the problems, which exist there. Citizens are getting to know their candidates. I hope their election choice will be conscious," Sobyanin told journalists on Sunday.
