Putin to hold meeting to discuss implementation of "May decrees" in social sphere

The meeting will involve ministers and heads of departments, as well as presidential plenipotentiary representatives in federal districts and a number of governors

MOSCOW, May 16. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will on Monday hold a meeting dedicated to implementation of the "May decrees" in the social sphere, the Kremlin reported.

It said the meeting of the Commission on Monitoring of social-economic development performance targets achievement will involve ministers and heads of departments, as well as presidential plenipotentiary representatives in federal districts and a number of governors.

A total of 11 so-called May decrees were signed by Putin on May 7, 2012, when he was sworn in for the third presidential term. The documents defined the goals and tasks of the country’s development for the following few years in the social, economic, foreign policy, demographic spheres and in the security field. Most tasks should be completed by 2018.
