SHENZHEN /China/, May 6. /TASS/. Russia highly appreciates the level of strategic partnership with China, speaker of the Russian State Duma (lower house of parliament) Sergei Naryshkin has said at a meeting with Vice Premier of China’s State Council Liu Yandong.
"We highly appreciate the level of strategic partnership between our two countries. We consider this cooperation and partners a global factor determining safety and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and the entire world," Naryshkin said.
He pointed to the active dynamics of the development of cooperation between the two countries in the humanitarian sphere. "I know that it is planned to hold the 17th meeting of the joint Russian-Chinese intergovernmental commission on humanitarian cooperation in July," Naryshkin said. "A number of new very important agreements will be signed designed to further promote cooperation in this area."
The speaker conveyed greetings to Liu Yandong from Russian Deputy Prime Minister Olga Golodets and First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Alexander Zhukov.
Naryshkin also said that preparations are underway in Russia for opening a museum dedicated to the sixth congress of the Chinese Communist Party.
