Child killed in shell blast in Dagestan’s village - medics

Earlier, TASS reported that an artillery shell exploded at a private household in a village in Dagestan. No fire followed the blast

MAKHACHKALA, April 30. /TASS/. Four people, including two children, have been injured and a child has died in an explosion of an artillery shell in a village in the Russian North Caucasian region of Dagestan, a physician at the district hospital told TASS.

"Five people have been taken to hospital - two adults and three children. One child was dead. An adult was discharged home," Nazlukhanum Gadzhimuradova, a doctor, said. "Another child has undergone a surgical operation and the other is being operated on. The adult is waiting for his turn. Their condition is serious."

The three children and adults are relatives.
