Russia stops transit of Ukrainian confectionary - customs

Earlier, Ukrainian media reports said that nearly 20 trucks loaded with confectionary had been detained in Russia as they were on their way to Georgia and Azerbaijan

MOSCOW, April 9. /TASS/. Russia’s state-run consumer protection watchdog Rospotrebnadzor has stopped the transit of Ukrainian confectionary, a senior Russian customs official told the Russian News Service radio station on Saturday.

"Rospotrebnadzor has initiated that the transit of Ukrainian confectionary to Asia should be suspended," Yekaterina Anchiporova said. "We issued our instruction in line with their (Rospotrebnadzor) letter which came last week."
