MOSCOW, April 5. /TASS/. The location of UN headquarters on US territory gives Washington certain advantages but moving it to another country is not realistic, Russian Ambassador to UN Vitaly Churkin told the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper in an interview published on Tuesday.
"The location of UN headquarters on US territory in fact gives them certain advantages. However, I think that there insignificant in comparison with all foreign policy instruments that Washington possesses," Churkin said.
"Moving the UN headquarters to another country is not realistic at least because the long and costly renovation of the UN building at New York’s East River is being completed now," the diplomat added.
