MOSCOW, March 25. /TASS/. The Kremlin found out from media reports about the death of Yuri Grabovsky, the lawyer for detained Russian citizen Alexander Aleksandrov on trial in Ukraine, but knows no other details about the killing.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has also refused to say if the murder could be linked to the trial of Ukrainian ex-pilot Nadezhda Savchenko in southern Russia and the suggestions that she could be swapped for Aleksandrov.
"No, I do not with what this can be associated as we received the information from mass media channels and I have no details," Peskov told reporters responding to a question.
Earlier reports said that Grabovsky, who mysteriously disappeared in early March, has been found dead in Ukraine. The association of Ukrainian lawyers said in a statement on Friday that the suspect in the crime has been detained.
