GENEVA, March 19. /TASS/. The coordination between Russia and the United States on Syria over the past week has gained a qualitatively new character, Russia's representative at the UN and other international representations in Geneva Alexey Borodavkin told TASS on Saturday.
"Our coordination with the US both in diplomatic and military directions over the past week gained a qualitatively new character," he said.
The high-ranking diplomat said Russia had been acting in the peacekeeping direction jointly with the US counterparts. He said, to a big extent that "favored announcement of ceasefire and successful beginning of the inter-Syrian dialogue."
"We hope, this positive beginning will have a practical continuation," he added.
