MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. A memorandum on India’s joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is expected to be signed at a SCO summit in Tashkent, Bakhtiyer Khakimov, Russian president’s special envoy for SCO affairs and the Russian foreign ministry’s ambassador at large, said on Friday.
"It is planned to sign a memorandum on [India’s] joining the SCO in Tshekent," he said. "We are working in that."
"Draft memorandums have been coordinated at the level of national coordinators," he said. "There is a decision to refer these drafts to the partners and later we will discuss these drafts with them in an established order."
The summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will take place in Uzbekistan’s capital city of Tashkent on June 23-24, 2016.
