MOSCOW, February 26. /TASS/. A memorandum on India’s joining the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) is expected to be signed at a SCO summit in Tashkent, Bakhtiyer Khakimov, Russian president’s special envoy for SCO affairs and the Russian foreign ministry’s ambassador at large, said on Friday.
"It is planned to sign a memorandum on [India’s] joining the SCO in Tshekent," he said. "We are working in that."
"Draft memorandums have been coordinated at the level of national coordinators," he said. "There is a decision to refer these drafts to the partners and later we will discuss these drafts with them in an established order."
