BANGKOK, February 11. /TASS/. A need to boost international cooperation on fight against terrorism was among the focal points at talks of the visiting Russian Security Council secretary and Thailand’s defense minister, spokesman for Security Council’s administration Yevgeny Anoshin told Tass on Thursday.
"The Russian side emphasized a need to boost international anti-terror cooperation under the central coordinating role of the United Nations, as well as a need to devise a set of measures that would make impossible the existence of terrorist organizations like Islamic State," the spokesman said after talks in Bangkok as part of an official visit by Nikolai Patrushev.
He said the Russian Security Council chief and Thailand’s Defense Minister Prawit Wongsuwan also discussed bilateral cooperation on regional and international security, joint fight against terrorism, extremism and illegal drug trafficking as well as military ties.
