Moscow urges Seoul to refute rumors of Russian components in North Korea’s missile

"If the Korean side, the Korean media have grounds to suspect us of supplying the components, the evidence should be presented," Mikhail Ulyanov said

MOSCOW, February 10. /TASS/. Russia is calling on Seoul to provide evidence or refute the rumors of deliveries of Russian components for long-range missiles to North Korea, Director of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Non-Proliferation and Arms Control Department Mikhail Ulyanov told a news conference on Wednesday.

"I was outraged when I read media reports about the insinuations of the South Korean intelligence service, which accused Russia of supplying components for North Korea’s missiles," he said. "This statement is irresponsible and unprofessional. One cannot come forward with such accusations without having clear evidence."

"If the Korean side, the Korean media have grounds to suspect us of supplying the components, the evidence should be presented," he said. "If there is no such evidence, I urge (Seoul) to officially disavow these insinuations and apologize, preferably in public."
