MOSCOW, February 9. /TASS/. Russia and the European Union should reconsider the basic principles of their relations, Russian Ambassador to the EU Vladimir Chizhov has said.
"This is not about restoring what we had before. If we have some similar approaches with the European Union today, it is that we are unanimous in the opinion that returning to what is called the ‘business as usual’ formula is unnecessary and impossible. These will be reconsidered equitable partnership relations devoid of superficial elements. There will be fewer slogans and, hopefully, more content," Chizhov told the Rossiya 24 TV channel.
