MOSCOW, February 3. /TASS/. Oman has supported the initiative to hold the next ministerial meeting of the Strategic Dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) in Moscow in spring, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday following working visit of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov to Oman.
"In the light of the task of boosting multifaceted cooperation with Russia, the Omani side supported the initiative to hold another ministerial session of the Strategic Dialogue between Russia and the Gulf Cooperation Council in Moscow this spring," the Russian Foreign Ministry said. "One of the issues on the agenda of this event is to be the updated Russian concept of collective security in the Gulf."
The Gulf Cooperation Council comprises Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates.
