Forum in southern Russia to discuss monitoring presidential decrees’ implementation

The two-day conference will be held at the Stavropol State Agrarian University

MOSCOW, January 24. /TASS/. The first inter-regional forum of the All-Russia People's Front this year will open on Sunday in Stavropol, in southern Russia, to discuss monitoring the implementation of presidential decrees and the fight against corruption in state purchases.

"The key issue for the whole 2016 is the implementation of presidential decrees and we will seek to gather feedback directly from people. We will hold inter-regional forums, conduct the monitoring of implementing decrees on the ground and by people’s eyes directly," a co-chairman of the All-Russia People's Front central headquarters, Alexander Brechalov, told TASS.

The two-day conference will be held at the Stavropol State Agrarian University. The participants will discuss anti-corruption fight, development of public institutions and public control, access to education, problems in the sphere of housing services and utilities, domestic tourism and healthcare sector.

The forum is expected to draw more than 600 people, the organizers say. The event will be attended by activists from the country’s southern regions, federal and regional experts of the All-Russia People's Front, journalists and representatives of legislative authorities.

The representatives of Russia’s Economic Development Ministry, Ministry of North Caucasus Affairs, Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities, Federal Anti-Monopoly Service, Accounts Chamber and Agency for Nationality Affairs have been also invited to attend the event.

The forum opens a series of inter-regional forums that the All-Russia People's Front plans to hold this year. A total of four similar forums are expected to take place in various Russian regions.
