BELGRADE, January 12. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin has recommended Serbia to be more careful in what concerns harmonization of its foreign policy with the European Union’s.

"You can well harmonize with the European Union that far that you will have another Cologne here. You should be careful with this harmonization not to find yourselves in a situation when newcomers behave as though being given a free hand whereas your women are afraid to go outside," Rogozin said on Tuesday at a news conference after the 14th session of the Russian-Serbian intergovernmental committee for trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation.

"There is nothing more terrifying than European bureaucracy," he said referring to his four-year history of work in Brussels. "Soviet-era bureaucrats are just kids compared with Europe’s. And the rules of the game are such that they erode national identity," he said, adding he did not meant to "infringe upon the vector of Serbia’s policy."
