Counter-terror regime lifted in Russia's North Caucasus Dagestan central district

The counter-terror regime was introduced in the Gunib district of Dagestan on December 27 in a special security operation, during which chieftain of the Sogratl bandit group was killed

MAKHACHKALA, December 31. /TASS/. The counter-terror regime has been lifted in the Gunib district in central Dagestan where the field commander of an illegal armed group was eliminated on December 27, the National Anti-Terror Committee’s operational headquarters in the North Caucasus republic said on Thursday.

"The counter-terror regime was cancelled today at 1:00 p.m. in the republic’s Gunib district after all the measures were completed," the headquarters said.

The counter-terror regime was introduced in the Gunib district of Dagestan on December 27 in a special security operation, during which chieftain of the Sogratl bandit group Shamil Nurmagomedov was killed.
