MOSCOW, December 16 /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated Argentina’s new President Mauricio Macri on assuming office.

"The sides stressed the importance of succession in implementing priority Russian-Argentinian projects in trade and the economic sphere," the Kremlin press service said.

"The leaders agreed to continue a dialogue on urgent questions of international and regional agenda, including in the context of establishing interaction between the Eurasian Economic Union and MERCOSUR, a Latin American sub-regional bloc," the Kremlin said.
