MOSCOW, December 16. /TASS/. The Kremlin has denied media reports that Iran’s Commander of Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Quds Force Major General Qassem Soleimani had allegedly paid a visit to Russia for talks with President Vladimir Putin.
"No," said the presidential spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, answering a TASS question if the meeting had actually taken place.
Earlier, Iran’s news agency FARS citing unidentified sources said that Soleimani and Putin discussed, in particular, the situation in Syria, Iraq, Yemen and Lebanon at their talks held in Russia earlier in December.
