MOSCOW, December 16. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on Thursday evening will fly to New York for a meeting of the International Syria Support Group, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has said.
"Tomorrow afternoon Sergey Lavrov will fly to New York for participating in a meeting of the International Syria Support Group and other activities at the UN devoted to Syrian settlement," Zakharova said. "As Lavrov said yesterday, Russia supports the idea of convening in New York on December 18 another ISSG meeting at the foreign minister level. We expect that on the basis of its results and with the consent of all participants an agreement will be achieved to submit to the UN Security Council a draft resolution that would uphold all the principles contained in the Vienna documents."
