Russian, Iranian diplomats discuss implementation of Vienna decisions on Syria

The two sides also exchanged views on the prospects for resolving the crisis in Yemen, including the establishment of the inter-Yemeni dialogue under UN auspice

MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. Russian presidential envoy for the Middle East and Africa and Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhai Bogdanov and Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian have discussed over the phone on Tuesday the implementation of the Vienna decisions on Syria, the settlement of the crisis in Yemen and the situation in Lebanon, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

The two sides discussed in detail the activities of the International Syria Support Group with the emphasis on the implementation of the decisions of the ministerial meeting of this group in Vienna on November 14, the ministry said.

They also exchanged views on the prospects for resolving the crisis in Yemen, including the establishment of the inter-Yemeni dialogue under UN auspices," the ministry noted. "Besides, they discussed the situation in Lebanon in the context of the inter-Lebanese contacts on the election of the Lebanese president."
