MOSCOW, November 27. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and his Syrian counterpart Faisal Mikdad have discussed implementation of the international mechanism for investigating the chemical weapons use in Syria, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
"The two diplomats discussed the chemical demilitarization of Syria and Damascus cooperation with the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW)," the ministry said. "The two sides also envisaged the UN-OPCW joint mechanism for investigation of the chemical weapons use in Syria.".
