Russia, Cambodia to exchange data to counter terrorist financing

PHNOM PENH, November 24. /TASS/. The financial intelligence services of Russia and Cambodia have signed an agreement on exchanging data for combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

The document was signed by head of Federal Financial Monitoring Service Yuri Chikhanchin and Governor of the National Bank of Cambodia Chea Chanto.

The agreement between Russia’s Federal Financial Monitoring Service and the financial intelligence unit of the National Bank of Cambodia was signed following talks held by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in Phnom Penh.

Russia and Cambodia have also reached an agreement on direct flights between the two countries.

The agreement between the Russian government and the government of Cambodia on air services has been signed by First Deputy Transport Minister of Russia Yevgeny Dietrich and Secretary of State of Cambodia’s Civil Aviation Secretariat Mao Havannal.

The document was signed in the presence of Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and King of Cambodia Norodom Sihamoni.

Currently there are no direct flights to this country from Russia, passengers have to take a connection flight in Vietnam, China or Qatar.
