MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Russia has good chances for approval of the application to broaden the Arctic shelf by the UN, Minister of Natural Resources Sergey Donskoy told TASS on the sidelines of the State Arctic Commission meeting on Friday.
"Yes, Russia’s chances are good," the minister said.
Donskoi added he will defend the Russia’s application to the UN in February and intends to achieve a positive result.
Russia will present the application to expand the Arctic shelf borders to the UN commission in February 2016.
