MOSCOW, November 20. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin will give his traditional annual news conference on December 17, the Kremlin press service said on Friday. It will start at noon Moscow time (9.00am GMT).
Putin gave his first conference in 2001, lasting 90 minutes. His longest, at 4 hours, 40 minutes, was in 2008. Last year's lasted 3 hours, 10 minutes.
The president calls his events "a good tradition", maintaining that any leader "should never avoid responsibility, never make voluntarist decisions and never distance himself from the lives of common people."
