Putin holds meeting with Saudi King

ANTALYA, November 16. /TASS/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has begun a meeting on the sidelines of the Group of Twenty (G20) summit with the King of Saudi Arabia, Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. The leaders’ talks are held behind closed doors.

It is the first meeting between Putin and Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. They have several times talked on the phone before. The talks’ agenda includes, in addition to the Syrian settlement, bilateral relations of Russia and Saudi Arabia. The Kremlin has emphasised the importance of this meeting in the run-up to the Saudi king’s visit to Russia that is being prepared.

Earlier on Monday, Putin met with UK Prime Minister David Cameron and Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi and took part in the second plenary session of the Group of Twenty summit, which was also held behind closed doors.
